No time to cook? No problem!! These 5 minute green beans are literally the easiest and tastiest little gems that you have ever had. We don’t know about you but there are many days during the week that are crazy busy and we don’t have a lot of time to get a meal together. Something like these kicked up fresh green beans are the perfect side dish to serve with some grilled chicken breasts or a nice piece of salmon. You can also put these guys out for Thanksgiving and your guests are sure to gobble them up. (that was a little unintentional Turkey Day humor by the way)
Just simply clean and trim up the ends of the beans. Heat up the olive oil in a skillet and add in the minced garlic. Sauté it for about a minute then toss in the green beans and sauté everything together for about 4 minutes. Be sure you don’t overcook them because nobody likes soggy green beans. Always aim to keep them firm and crisp. They are so much better that way!
Once they are cooked, remove them from the stove and just mix in the dijon mustard until they are nicely coated. Then top with the french fried onions. Easy peasy and so so good!
